Abstract :
A technique for modeling the adjacent and nonadjacent couplings between several microstrip lines in microwave integrated circuits (MICs) and monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) is presented. The technique assumes that the primary transmission paths in the circuit can be modeled with conventional single or coupled microstrip models. A particular four-port model is then superimposed on the existing circuit for each adjacent or nonadjacent coupling that is present. This model uses analytical equations for microstrip coupled lines and is, therefore, fast and easy to compute
