Abstract :
Narrow-bandwidth CPFSK systems employing delay-and-multiply receivers may have potential applications in future multichannel coherent optical communications networks. The bit error ratio of such systems is derived and is shown to be close to the shot noise limit when IF noise filtering is employed with optimum bandwidth and delay time
