Abstract
This paper reports the development of a stacked MOSFET switch with a uniformly distributed magnetic structure to coherently deliver 45-ns rise-time pulses from a 25-kV power supply. Gate jitter problems were avoided. This circuit is currently in use delivering variable-width 50-kV pulses for an electric field generator. These fields are applied to dry food samples at up to a 300-Hz repetition rate using oppositely biased floating MOSFET stacks for simultaneous switching of two 25-kV power supplies
