Abstract :
It is our pleasure to present to the professional reader this "third" Special Issue on Power Modulators and Repetitive Pulsed Power of the IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation (previous issues were published in 2007 and 2009), and the fifth such Special Issue published by an IEEE Transactions (1991-IEEE TED; 2005-IEEE TPS). Most of the papers that appear in this issue are based on contributions to the 2010 International Power Modulator and High Voltage Conference, which was held in Atlanta, GA, from May 23rd to 27th, 2011. Others heeded the "Call for Papers" that attracted many contributions in the general field of interest to this Special Issue.
