    At the annual dinner of The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), to be held in New York, ¿Y, USA, December 2, 1936, Ambrose Swasey (HM\´28) past president and honorary member of that society, and founder of the Engineering Foundation, will have the high distinction of becoming the second recipient of the Hoover Gold Medal. A brief biographical sketch of Doctor Swasey is given in the "Personal" columns of this issue.
