Abstract :
Reports a 400 Mbit/s differential phase shift keying (DPSK) heterodyne optical transmission system experiment using two inline packaged resonant type amplifiers. The optical amplifier gave a 14.5 dB net gain from fibre to fibre at λ=1.488 μm with no significant system penalty
