Abstract :
To judge from the amount of attention that has been focused on robotics in the technical Press recently, it seems reasonable to predict a large increase in their use in British industry over the next ten years. Robots are being introduced to the world´s manufacturing industry because of their low economic wage (sometimes less than £1 per hour), they work 98% of their lives and they can be both faster and more accurate under conditions that humans would find intolerable
