  • Abstract
    The present dominance of steel-reinforced aluminium conductors is being challenged for certain applications by all-aluminium-alloy conductors. In the UK, the requirements for future overhead-line construction and reconductoring, and the development of the use of overhead lines to incorporate communication channels, appear to be advantageous for the use of this type of conductor
