Abstract :
The IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) has a long history of working with other IEEE Societies as well as professional organizations outside the IEEE. The reason is simple. The technical interests of our members are too diverse to be served by a single organization, and cooperation with others is the best way to complement our strengths with what others have to offer. Currently, such intersociety cooperation is growing significantly because of technology evolution and globalization.
