Abstract :
The spectral density of the amplitude fluctuations of a maser oscillator shows a peak when the saturation factor is high enough. An analytical expression is given for the Fourier frequency at which the maximum arises, in terms of the saturation factor and the transverse and longitudinal relaxation time constants.
