  • Abstract
Science-fiction has ensured that robots are firmly established as part of space exploration, and from the moment the robot arm on Voyager unfurled itself on the surface of Mars in 1976, robots have been a practical reality in orbit. This paper discusses Nasa´s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and dispels any notions of robots being glamorous.
