  • Abstract
The differential equation describing the operation of explicit and implicit RMS-to-DC converters is solved and the solution is used to calculate the magnitude of the second-harmonic component and of the DC error at the output of these devices. The results obtained are identical to estimates made using approximate superposition techniques.
