  • Abstract
Experimental results are presented which demonstrate that both the magnitude and phase of the input reflection coefficient of a dipole placed near a conducting plane are sensitive monotonic functions of the dipole-to-plane separation. Measurement applications which exploit this characteristic are suggested.
