Abstract :
General characteristics of an X-ray linear motion tomographic system are discussed. It is a system which is frequently used in clinical medicine. The response characteristics of this system are first derived theoretically and then verified experimentally by using an X-ray imaging device equipped with an on-line computer. In addition, the on-plane space and frequency response characteristics of this system and other characteristics such as the depth-directional influences of an object at a given depth are also discussed.
