Abstract :
Presents a technique used for providing adequate damping in force balance devices by the use of an additional coil. The main advantages of this scheme over conventional methods of using lead-lag networks is that the method does not accentuate high-frequency noise and the damping can be adjusted independent of the forward loop gain.
