  • Abstract
Having followed Prof. Kenneth R. Laker and his work rather closely for more than three decades, I am delighted to write about his teaching, research, and other accomplishments. Ken has an imposing personality. He stands tall and big, and this, in addition to his characteristic laughter (buried in deep, periodic breathing), makes him adorable and charming. Needless to say, he is a world-class technician and a visionary. His achievements had their roots in his outstanding educational background. Ken received his B.E. degree in electrical engineering from Manhattan College and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from New York University.
