Abstract :
This communication deals mainly with two issues raised in a paper by Boutin (see ibid., vol.IM-31, no.2, p.142-4, June 1982). His first comment in his letter has criticized the title chosen for describing an oscillator proposed by the author recently. According to Boutin the oscillator has been wrongly entitled as a Wien bridge oscillator, in spite of the fact that it does not include a complete Wien bridge network. It is shown that the title is justified. Boutin has also suggested a circuit including a complete Wien bridge in the oscillation system. This circuit is regarded by him as likely to possess advantages over the original network. It is shown that such advantages are not likely to occur.
