Abstract
The use of method of moments techniques has resulted in changes of some of the conventional thinking for medium wave directional antenna sample systems-that is the instrumentation for monitoring antenna system parameters. Sample loops on the antenna structures and toroidal current transformers in the feed systems have long been used to monitor directional medium wave antenna systems. This paper will reexamine the historical practices and provide analysis of current thinking on best practices for these types of sample systems.
