Abstract :
A multichannel digital waveform recorder (MDWR) with a mixed and switchable rate is described. By using a synchronous clock and flexible triggering facilities, good phase relationship between fast and slow channels can be maintained. In switch sampling-rate applications, a switchable multistage digital decimating filter (MDDF) can be used to prevent aliasing when sampling at the slow rate and maintaining phase continuity at the sampling-rate switch-over point.
