Abstract :
An alternative method of estimating the average trap depth from the thermally stimulated discharge current measurement of a polymeric material is detailed, The method uses least square numerical analysis to match a theoretical curve with the experimentally obtained discharge current. Obtained results using the method have been compared to estimates of trapping level using established approaches. The method provides an accurate estimation of trapping level, which is also simple to implement
