Abstract :
The “toroidal generator” where a charged particle is fired along the major axis of a toroidal coil is re-examined when the coil is driven by a constant-current source. The conservation and transfer of both energy and momentum are explained. Magnitude calculations indicate that building a current source with the required stability would be difficult
