Abstract :
A compact subminiature-type coaxial noise source has been developed using the triple-point temperature of phenoxybenzene (300.01 K) as its physical temperature standard. The temperature can be easily attained and is excellent in stability and reproducibility. The noise source is well suited to a standard providing a noise temperature near room temperature.
