Abstract :
An analytical procedure for the evaluation of a feeding algorithm is suggested, which obtains peak-torque performances of asynchronous induction motors fed by electric power converters. At the same time, it shows that the algorithm envisaged represents an improved solution of the well known field-oriented control technique. The procedure is also applied to saturated machines, because the peak-torque performance envisaged implies that traditionally designed motors operate with air-gap flux densities higher than their rated values
