Abstract :
The 2009 IEEE elections are being held between 1 August and 1 October. If you have not voted already, please take the time to cast your ballot. It could make more difference than you may think. In 2008, only about 13% of all eligible IEEE Members voted. In two of the contests for Division Director, the winner had fewer than 1,700 votes. The IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) has approximately 9,000 IAS Members eligible to vote. We could make a big difference in the outcomes of many races.
