Abstract :
A digital procedure is presented for the determination of the magnetic properties of electrical steel sheets. The power amplifier for the excitation of the magnetic measuring circuit is controlled with a sinusoidal AC signal whose frequency and amplitude are adjusted by the incorporated microprocessor. The measured values are processed in two or more channels by means of an analog-to-digital converter triggered synchronously with the AC signal and stored in 1024 storage locations. Subsequently, the microprocessor carries out a numerical evaluation with the aid of the program stored in PROMs. Compactness, rational handling and a low uncertainty of measurement are characteristic features of the instrument.
