Abstract
The measurement of very high resistance is complicated by the presence of stray electronic and ionic currents, the effect of parallel capacitance, currents due to induced voltages, etc. These spurious currents may be larger than the true resistive current. Nevertheless, a resistance of 1000 million megohms is measurable in industrial practice.
