Abstract
An important task for almost every software application is I/O. For instance, database applications and even simple applications supporting configuration files-all use I/O. Consequently, accessing and manipulating resources is essential to most software systems. A new resource access approach separates various aspects such as address, content format, and location type to enable their flexible and configurable combination.
