Abstract :
Objective evaluations based on analytical techniques are of limited value in the absence of specific information about some of the key parameters. A quantitative evaluation procedure is developed based on the subjective judgement of a group of experts. The methodology is used to identify plug designs with a high likelihood of satisfactory performance for a nuclear waste repository.
