  • Abstract
    The criteria for successful demonstrations are reviewed, these criteria are then applied to electric vehicles, and a phased plan is presented for electric vehicle demonstrations supported mainly by the private sector. The phased plan includes a sequence of activities of exploratory study, field tests, and demonstration planning before a costly demonstration is carried out.
