Abstract :
The author has developed a highly sensitive interferometric autocorrelator, with 2mW2 sensitivity at a wavelength of 1.55 μm, which uses a an Si avalanche photodiode as a two-photon absorber. The pulse width and chirp of pulses with low peak power, which are generated from an actively mode-locked semiconductor laser, are measured by using the newly developed autocorrelator
