Abstract
A mathematical model has been developed for determining an optimal inspection interval with human error considerations. The optimal inspection interval that maximizes the availability of equipment used in emergency conditions is sought. The human reliability model based on the technique for human error rate prediction (THERP) method is developed, and various levels of dependence between consecutive tasks are considered.
