Abstract :
An analysis of CO2 laser efficiency under the combined effects of variation in N2 partial pressure in the gas mixture and coolant temperature is presented. For particular Co2 :N2 ratios, results show that efficiency decreases as the gas kinetic temperature decreases. A competition between gas and electron temperatures is pointed out as responsible for the effect
