Abstract :
Current uses for sensing equipment in agricultural equipment include: contour ground tracking for height control in combines, grain moisture monitors, and crop yield monitors that use GPS data to map field productivity. Because innovations like these improve reliability and productivity, the use of sensors, and other electronic controls has increased significantly in the second half of the 1990s. Some developments which have improved mechanical and operator efficiency are discussed
