Abstract :
A new widely-tunable continuous-wave singlemode laser source around 3.24 m for the characterisation of volatile organic compounds has been demonstrated by researchers at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC). This is the first report of a singlemode type-I diode laser at this wavelength, paving the way for highly-sensitive industrial gas applications.
