Abstract :
Although nanotechnology has promised revolutions in many fronts, including the extension of the life expectancy of humans, it has thus far not been able to stop the aging process, i.e., even though we live longer, we will continue to get older. In fact, if nanotechnology could significantly extend life expectancies throughout the world, it would create other social implications due to the consequent increase in the elderly population—we need to overhaul the present day social security and health-care systems.
