Abstract :
The author describes the issues that he believes should be at the forefront of IEE members´ minds as the IEE enters a new millennium. The emphasis is on the importance of knowledge and its growth. He discusses the INSPEC database, the IEE´s Continuing Professional Development programme which is based on the identification and dissemination of information and knowledge in both established and emerging technologies.
