  • Abstract
    Waveguide-type directional couplers with different waveguide widths in the coupling region are fabricated based on high silica on Si technologies. These asymmetric couplers show wavelength-flattened coupling ratios of 50%+or-5% over the 1.2 mu m-1.6 mu m wavelength range.
