Abstract :
Xianbin Wang, Tjhung and Ng (see ibid., vol.45, no.3, 1999) authors reply that they would like to thank Mattsson, Mendenhall and Dittmer (see ibid., vol.45, no.4, 1999) for their constructive comments. They observe that indeed, it would be more meaningful to compare the performance of the companded signal to that of an uncompanded signal of equal power. They consider a companded OFDM system with constant transmission power
