Abstract :
This study outlines the challenges in developing a platform to support environmental monitoring, and demonstrates a solution approach based on the modification of a popular reactive routing protocol known as Ad-hoc On-demand Multipath Distance Vector (AOMDV). The proposed modifications (event based, robust routing functions) in AOMDV are desirable to facilitate better wireless connectivity for current and future needs. Simulations have been done to verify the proposed algorithms, simulation considered seven nodes in which two nodes are affected by This study is significantly beneficial in order to develop a small prototype for the proposed enhancements in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs).
