Abstract
Using massively parallel computing, the Center for Integrated Turbulence Simulations is advancing the physics based numerical simulation of aircraft engine flow and combustion. It is also helping to develop the advanced computer platforms necessary to perform these simulations. The article outlines the CITS´ challenges, program, and progress.
