Abstract
Even loosening immigration won´t fill the gap, say experts – Germany needs to address the growing number of job openings for engineers if it hopes to keep its mighty manufacturing machine roaring ahead. In June, the Association of German Engineers (VDI) reported that there were 76400 vacant engineering jobs, an all-time high.
