  • Abstract
The theory of compressive sensing and sparse representations broke the traditional linkage between the resolution of the optical signals and the bandwidth of the acquisition process. As such, it opened the path to new optical super-resolving systems; that is, methods and systems that are able to capture optical signals with resolution beyond the classical limits. In this paper we overview some compressive sensing optical super-resolution systems that we have developed, including three compressive imaging system that produce super-resolution images, super-resolution tomography reconstruction, and super-resolution spectral sensing.
