Abstract
We analyse the problem of performing wireless localization with Golomb-optimized multipoint ranging between a target and multiple receivers efficiently and accurately. The ranging algorithm we developed in [1] is utilized by adapting superresolution techniques to the ranging problem, using phase-difference of arrival (PDoA). The algorithm handles multipoint ranging efficiently by employing an orthogonalized non-uniform sampling scheme optimized via Golomb rulers designed using the genetic algorithm we presented in [2]. Finally, Cramér-Rao lower bounds (CRLBs) analysis of the Golomb-optimized multipoint ranging and target localization are performed with comparisons against simulation results validating the proposed techniques.
