LEOS column

In its last AdCom meeting of 1986 held in conjunction with the OSA-ILS meeting in Seattle, Washington, on October 20–24, the LEOS AdCom completed and announced a number of new positions for the coming calendar year. First on the list is the automatic ascent of Paul Liao from President-Elect to 1987 President of LEOS, replacing Gary Bjork-lund, 1986 President. Replacing Liao as President-Elect next year (President in 1988) will be Fred Leonberger, whose election was unanimous.
