The following is a description of the awards: The GUILLEMIN-CAUER Award of the Circuits and Systems Society is for the best paper published in the Transactions in the issues July 1977 through June 1979. The DARLINGTON Award of the Circuits and Systems Society is for the best paper bridging the gap between circuit theroy and the practical problems of circuit designin the above period. (This will be awarded only in those years when a merited paper is published.)
