Abstract :
For the original paper see ibid., vol. 45, no. 7, p. 894-98 (1998). In the aforementioned paper, the authors claim to have derived a current-mode equivalent of the Friend-Deliyannis biquad. They have also compared their realization with the earlier proposed current-mode equivalent due to Ananda Mohan (see ibid., vol. 42, p. 225-8, 1995). However, the commenter points out that the derivation in the above paper is not an exact equivalent of Friend-Deliyannis biquad, but is an adjoint of a new active RC circuit of the Sallen and Key type (1955). The authors reply to this comment stating that in their opinion the circuit proposed by Ananda Mohan is not a new one, but is just the unstable op-amp based version of the Deliyannis bandpass filter.
