Abstract :
This paper describes a synthesis procedure for strictly positive real observer-based controllers. In particular, we address the standard ℋ2-optimal control problem with the additional constraint on the strict positive realness of the controller. A suboptimal version of this problem is shown to be a convex optimization problem, and a linear matrix inequality-based solution is provided. One example illustrates the main results
