  • Abstract
    The Science Research Council is part of the Department of Education and Science and is the largest government agency funding scientific research in universities, polytechnics and certain other establishments in the UK. Following a recent initiative by the SRC to boost engineering research and rationalize expenditure on the provision of computing facilities an interactive computing network (the ICF) is under intensive development. The author reports facilities and development of this interactive computing network.
