Abstract :
Straightforward conventions are described which allow an exact block diagram representation of digital filter structures. The description includes overload and quantization levels as well as the sequence of program execution. A digital filter simulation program is described which allows a choice of all register length and the type of arithmetic used. Each signal, each quantization perturbation and any functions of these are available for display. Application examples are presented.
