Abstract
This article introduces the application of automatic modulation classification (AMC) algorithm for the signal sensing and detection of the primary user (PU) in cognitive radio (CR) environments. The algorithm was developed using an artificial neural network (ANN). Computer simulations of 12 combined analog and digitally modulated signals corrupted by additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) have been carried out.
